Grrreeeetingssssss Caribbean cinephiles,

Whilst we prep our updates from the whirlwind that has been October/November, take a peep at this interesting venture coming out of JAMPRO and the Ministry of Culture, fully endorsed by us here at NCC.
The Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase is having its launch this Sunday at the Tom Redcam Library @ 11am , its FREE, refreshments, entertainment and a sample of the films from the showcase. So if you love the Caribbean and you love Cinema, come out in support…:-)

A word from JAMPRO….

The Film Showcase is an itinerant 12-week exhibition featuring more than 30 films/videos from 15 Caribbean and Latin American countries including films subtitled in Spanish, French, Dutch and Haitian Creole. The Showcase’s mandate is to create identity using the medium of film, as a way of ensuring that the people of the Caribbean have an opportunity to recognize the diversity and unity of Caribbean culture. The Showcase is largely sponsored by JAMPRO in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Public Broadcasting Commission Jamaica (PBCJ), CPTC, JCDC and the Jamaica Library Service.
